Sauce:
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Lo mein:
8 oz lo mein noodles
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup sliced vegetables (such as carrots, bell peppers, and cabbage)
1 cup protein of choice (sliced chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu)
2 green onions, sliced
Mix all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water.
Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
Add garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add your protein of choice and cook until nearly done.
Add vegetables and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender.
Add cooked noodles and sauce to the wok. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
Serves 2-3
